In 1982, Mike Smith founded the business in Plymouth having trained as an architect. Initially working from his workshop at home, the business grew from strength to strength and in 2016, when Mike retired, his son Paul, who started working for the business as an apprentice in 2001, took on the Mainly Kitchens’ reins.

Mainly Kitchens have planned, built, and installed kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms throughout Plymouth, Devon and the South West over several decades. Often these have needed innovation and ingenuity in design to achieve the clients’ dreams.

They are renowned for their excellent customer service before, during and after any job, their attention to detail and the high quality finish of all their work.
